Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Students love to use the teacher's white board. It encourages them to write. There are many assignments in first grade where the students have to write words or letters using paper and pencil. We go through a lot of paper throughout each school year and much of it winds up in the garbage. I've always wanted to provide my students with their own lined white boards. They could use these boards during word dictation and to practice writing their letters. I think this would benefit us in several ways: the students would enjoy using them, we would save paper, and the students could use the boards during whole group lessons as well as on their own during Independent Work Time.
