I have the privilege of teaching, nurturing, and fostering a love of learning in 22 beautiful Pre-K students! Every day is an adventure!
My students are a wonderful and intelligent bunch, always curious, and eager to learn and explore.
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and inquirers. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers. They are our future, and I want to give them the greatest start to whatever lies ahead of them - in college, their career, and life!
My Project
Quality early learning is crucial in a child's development and we strive to provide an environment that enriches each of our little learners daily. Movement and engagement is key to reaching and teaching our students, and this in-house visitor project will bring science exploration that is totally hands-on and participatory, in addition to being packed full of educational concepts.
Pre-K is the very beginning of their academic journey, and our hope is that this in-house STEM experience will inspire a life-long interest in science.
This project will bring degreed professional instructors that will engage every child. They will have the opportunity to become mini meteorologists for the day as we kick off our Earth & Sky unit. From touching clouds and creating tornadoes, to mimicking the movement of the sun, each activity will be age appropriate and worlds of fun! We will even tie in the arts as we use our bodies to DANCE the water cycle and explore each of the four seasons! They will even have a make and take project! This can help them recall their excitement and fun as tell their parents all about what they learned that day!
