My Students

My students and I have morning meetings and mini lessons together everyday. We meet on the carpet and use the chalkboard for recording information. An easel would enable us to group closer together to share and see the focus lessons during Reading and Writing Workshop.

Our school is a Title I school.

For the past 4 years, we have earned the status of a Spotlight School for closing the achievement gap. We have a diversified school that is beginning the International Baccalaureate Programme certification process. Our students are eager to learn.

My Project

With the white board easel, my students will be able to interact with each other during mini lessons. We will be able to move the easel anywhere in the classroom to work in small groups. The easel will be used during guided reading lessons and writing conferences to teach and reinforce concepts.

This easel will provide us with a writing surface that everyone can use.

We will be able to post essential agreements, teaching points, morning messages and anchor charts. This easel will be used everyday!
