This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Help my students get the latest and greatest technology! My students have never gotten to use and experience learning with iPads.

I teach a wonderful group of first graders.

They love to learn and are excited to come to school each day. My school is located in a low income area. 90% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of the students come from less than desirable homes. Yet, they come to school ready to work hard and do their very best!

My Project

My students have had very little experience with technology. Many of them have not used a computer except for the ones in the classroom. IPad minis will help my students experience learning with the newest technology. They will be able to use applications to read books and practice math skills during literacy and math centers.

If we are fortunate enough to receive iPad minis, our classroom will be dramatically impacted.

Not only will my students be more motivated to read books and practice their math facts, they will get to experience the most modern kind of learning. IPad minis will further help my students to be prepared for new technology in the future.
