This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Really, First graders learning economics? YES! By teaching economics as early as first grade, I can give my students a jump start on becoming smarter citizens, and learning about personal finance.
My students come from diverse backgrounds. The diversity of my classroom is what makes teaching so fun.
Some of my students have access to unlimited types of technology, but many of them have little or no access at all. My students all love the opportunity to use technology to learn. They are considerate of each other and want to make sure everyone is included. They are very compassionate and eager to learn.
My Project
Having an iPad mini in my classroom will allow me to teach my students how to become economically responsible through the use of apps and other resources. Many of my students have very limited chances to use technology at home, especially to learn things about saving money and the economy.
Please help my students have the opportunity to become better citizens and more financially aware. Your future depends on these students learning about the economy.
Having an iPad mini will allow me to teach my students how the economy can impact their lives and our community.
It will open up opportunities for these students that they may otherwise never get.
