Help me give my students the opportunity to learn how to build programmable robots by funding the Mindstorms education EV3 core set.

Our school services students from kindergarten through age 22 with emotional disabilities. Our students have to be thoroughly staffed to qualify to attend our school. Many of our students are foster children, live in group homes or transitional housing. Despite this, they come to school to learn and heal. Our school has many therapists and social emotional learning is emphasized.
Our students have been dealt a bad card in life.
They did not ask to be born this way. Providing them windows of light and hope while supporting them on their journey is what we do.
Lego Mindstorms will be used to create a robotics program at our school. We do not have any academic enrichment programs such as this. We would like to start a Lego First team. To do this, we need the Mindstorms robot set as this is the platform Lego uses for their challenges.
This will be life changing for some students.
Many of them have never been on a team of any kind before. This is very structured program which helps them work together to solve real world problems. This is not only academically beneficial but also helps social emotional learning.
Because so many students live in transitional housing ( foster, group homes, homeless) this will take place during the school day. Middle school will be the initial group targeted as they are highest percentage of students at our school as well as the most overlooked traditionally. Other age groups will be able to participate. The goal will be for the middle school students to be the mentors and teachers to the other students.
