Minds In Motion

My students need need 4 Balance Boards for lab work.

I am a second grade teacher and we are in the process of developing our Minds In Motion Lab. The research shows that this type of Lab will increase our student's learning level. We are a low income suburban school district with students of many ethnic backgrounds.

We became interested in the Minds In Motion Curriculum at a presentation last spring and our Principal gave us a room to set up the lab. We have developed many of our own materials and borrowed some from our Physical Education Department. Balance boards are all that we need to complete all of the stations in our lab. Our students love kinetic learning and this lab will stimulate that kinetic learning.

We are ready to start school and want to have our lab up and running for all of our second grade students. The balance boards is all we need to complete our stations so we can start to develop many of the kinetic domains of learning.

Your funding of the balance boards will be the icing on the cake in the completion of our Minds In Motion Lab. The students will use the lab daily and by doing so will develop kinetic, cognitive, and perceptual skills that will enhance their learning abilities. This form of learning also allows the students to be physically active, as well as mentally. We want to educate the mind and the body. It is also a fun way to learn.
