This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Mindfulness is "the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us." Mindfulness helps students to stay calm under stress, be less distracted and gain self-control.

As a first year School Social Worker, I want to create a space where my students can pause, breathe, and let go of their worries.These materials will help me provide my students with "Mindful Moments" to calm their busy minds and busy bodies!

With guided meditation cards, calming toys, bean bag chairs and mindfulness activity books, we can make these moments possible! Thank you for your support.
