This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Swoosh! We are once again swept away into another enjoyable book! My enthusiastic learners are on free/reduced lunches and many are downright poverty stricken...but they won't use these as excuses. They show me everyday what courage they have to succeed.

"I don't want the other students to see that I have to pick books off of the 'Easy Read' shelf." This is what my fifth graders say when they have to read books on their 2nd grade reading level.

Yes! You're right! I need a way to meet my students needs while allowing them to read with grace. Students should not have to be embarrassed to read while they are working diligently to catch up with their peers. This shelf with tubs and leveled books is the SOLUTION! Students can securely store their books away from the others.

You can't have a rainbow without the sun AND rain! I have the solution but I need you to help make it possible for me to solve this problem for my students. I am confident that you'll take this to heart. So let me close by saying, Thank you! y gracias!
