This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are eager first graders that are ready to learn. They are six and seven years old who like to explore and spend time reading. I teach at a Title I school where 80% of the students receive free and reduced-price lunches. We need a new pencil sharpener to sharpen our dull pencils. My students also need snacks to help energize their brain.
My Project
My students need a new pencil sharpener. Our old one stopped working and our pencils are dull. This new pencil sharper will not only be on point but will help us to do our work.
While my students are busy doing their daily work, sometimes their brain need a little boost to energize their thought process.
At the end of a long school day a little snack before going home home can recharge their brain.
We work hard every day to learn new skills. With 2020 and all the changes in this year we need something positive in our school day.
