My Students
My students are "thirsty" for learning and high achievement. They are creative, energetic, dedicated and enthusiastic learners. They love coming to school to become the best versions of themselves.
We strive to not only spend our days reading, writing and becoming mathematicians, but also to become people who care about our environment and personal health.
My fourth graders love to read good books, making people feel good, planting seeds and watching them grow, trying new things, exercising, meditating, problem-solving and spending time together.
My Project
Since I moved from 3rd to 4th grade with my students, many of them have read most of my classroom library books. My class size has doubled because I now see two classes of 4th graders, so my library that used to seem large looks a lot smaller. My students are reading 2-3 books a day and are finding series' that they are interested in. I took a poll of the classes and asked them to make wish lists of books that they would love to add to our library.
These books will add a new level excitement to my classroom and keep the motivation going.
I am challenging my students to read one million words this school year and these books will get us closer to our goal.
