My students need art supplies so they can experiment with different types of media, and also enables them to complete art lessons that apart of the school system art curriculum.
The students I teach are located on a military base (Fort Meade, MD), where they are constantly moving from place to place. These are all military families which don't often have stable living conditions as the army sends them all over the world.
Our school is full of diversity.
The students speak many languages, and come from the immediate neighborhood as well as around the city. Families, students, and staff gain a deeper understanding of the curriculum by viewing student work in the classrooms and hallways. Our vibrant learners just need a little boost.
My Project
My students need basic art supplies to help boost their creativity in the art room! These items will help my students learn about famous artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, Rosseau, Cezanne and Picasso. Using these art supplies will help my students learn the art techniques in which these famous artists used to create their famous masterpieces. Creating art will also help my students express their feelings and emotions verbally in response to looking at art exemplars and prompts given to them. They will have fun expressing themselves and be proud of the artworks they have created in the classroom.
