My Students

Our school has a diverse population that is representative of the community with a high percentage of students with a Native American heritage. It is also considered a high poverty school with approximately 90% of the students receiving free or reduced price lunches. The students who will be in my class this fall come to school with needs that go beyond what I can provide as an educator, but I am confident that the eight and nine years old children that I get to teach will be full of life and energy. I can't wait to begin growing my future students as learners and developing in them a desire to learn.

My Project

I incorporate technology throughout the day, including in reading and math. My students will be given the opportunity to have their own individual Chromebook in the upcoming school year. For many students, the tracking pad on a laptop is very difficult to use, so I would like to provide them with an individual computer mouse. These computer mice will allow my students to scroll and click with ease. The batteries will allow my students to have access to this tool all school year. They will be given Google Classroom assignments, as well as other supplemental materials provided to me by Mcloud Public Schools.
