This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an amazing group of kids that come to class with enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge. Their drive and excitement make it a pleasure to teach them.

I teach at a Title I school in South Florida where ninety percent of our students receive free lunch.

I have students from many different countries that have arrived to America within the last year. Some of them have very limited schooling in their own language and have been placed in a formal school setting. Because of this, some of my students do not have access to important things that will allow them to excel in school, like internet, computers, or tablets.

My Project

The math activity stations will be used in my small group centers to help improve my students' math skills using hands-on activities. The iPad will be used in my small group centers as well in connection with the math skill that will be taught that day tying in the skill with technology. The iPad will also serve as an incentive for my students where they will be able to play math games on it.

Using the math activity stations will allow my students to understand math at a different level.

Hands on activities are very effective with young learners.
