Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My elementary is a Title I school; a little over 60% of our students participate in the free and reduced lunch program. Maybe our students do not come from homes where they've been afforded every advantage, but they do have compassionate hearts, incredible potential, and a joyous desire to learn.
Our students are lively, curious, kind, playful, and hungry for new information.
Please help us to continue to provide an organized, well stocked classroom so that our students can grow their math brains!
My Project
These materials will help my students better practice their math concepts and facts. The whiteboard clipboards will be used in many areas of the classroom. In math, they will be used in whole group and small group to give students quick and fun practice. They will also be utilized to keep our papers safe from the wind when we journey to our outdoor garden classroom. And in reading, they will be perfect for quick check responses.
Angles and elapsed time are tricky concepts for many 4th graders - these tools will give each child the resources they need to stay engaged.
The clocks and protractors, held safe in the handy pouches, will be a much needed addition to our math manipulative collection. Acquiring these tools will help my students reach their math learning potential! Thank you so much!
