Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our mixed level class consists of 11 bright and cheery students. Our students are eager to learn and sometimes growing so fast we don't have enough resources to provide them for even more growth.
Our class has a variety of different learning levels and styles.
We need to be able to reach all levels of teaching for the best growth of our students.
Our students come from a high poverty area of this city, and at school we want to provide them with as many experiences and knowledge as we can.
My Project
I am requesting some items that need to be replaced around this time of the school year. We are always in need of pencils and because we use so many pencils our sharpener has seen better days. We also like to use dry erase boards to show our work during math class which is why we need more dry erase markers. I would like a larger easel to help work through problems with my entire class.
We are always in need of cleaning supplies, so we can all stay healthy.
At this time of year many students come to school sick. I want to keep my classroom clean and disinfected to eliminate further germs and sicknesses. I always tell my students, if I catch your sickness and get sick I cannot come teach you.
Speaking of cleaning supplies, our laptops are used daily. Our touch screens get very dirty from all the use they get. We would like the proper cleaning materials so we do not damage the laptops. We want to get the longest life out of our laptops by treating them right!
