Malliyah, Perla, and Gabriela are 8th graders committed to sharing their school's story. They are good friends, who have shared all three years of middle school together. Extremely bright and accelerated students, they are self-motivated and eager to create our school's yearbook.
This year, they make up our very small yearbook staff at Jefferson Leadership Academy. We are unable to have a yearbook course, and so they have formed a club to help create the yearbook. Although they own camera phones, they would love the opportunity to catch every active moment during their last year in Middle School.
This year, our school's focus centers around building relationships. Working to develop this yearbook will help us work as grow and develop as a team. We will learn to be attentive to detail, develop timelines, and meet those deadlines. Developing the yearbook will also help us with photo editing, page layout and design, font usage and creating fitting captions.
We are confident, mature, efficient, hardworking, 8th graders looking forward to creating a new piece of art...Or to others, a yearbook. Our Yearbook club is enthusiastic and excited to create individually themed pages to fit our own personal styles. Each of us have our own reasons for wanting to create this book of memories, but we are coming together to accomplish something meaningful for our school.
To be summarized, we would like give our fellow 8th graders the gift of remembering our past and meaningful times together. In our lifetime many of our eventful experiences follow us around for the rest of our existence. Those that we cannot remember are forever lost in the back of our minds. Giving us this camera would mean that we can ensure that our remarkable middle school memories follow us in our journey to adulthood. Receiving a camera for our work would mean the world to us. I, Malliyah , as an 8th grader, have been on a rollercoaster throughout my years at this school and I wish to remember them for the rest of the ride. I know that myself and the other students in the club will appreciate your consideration of donating. We would like to make this yearbook a token of our past.
Our yearbook club's project would be to receive this camera and capture memorable moments. Our club intends to go to important events in and around the school campus taking photographs to put into this year's yearbook. Without a doubt, we will take the time to learn how to use the device in many ways, to make our project sufficient enough for our fellow students. The club and I, Malliyah are willing to take the time to gain experience for ourselves in this field as much as we can. I, myself have a passion for photography and I would love to take what knowledge I gain from this and use it later on in life. Yes, phones are a good source of photography but they are not efficient enough. They do not possess the skills that are needed for task. Thank you, for using your time to take a look at this project.
