Middle School Robotics...Crushing the Competition With Supplies!
Help me give my students the robotics supplies they need to compete in the STEAM robotic competitions. These supplies are required to build and transport robots to the competitions.
How can we help a group of middle school students from a Title I school get motivated with engineering through robotics? These kids are highly motivated and eager to increase their knowledge and abilities to advance their robotic skills.
A class of 34 students have been chosen to compete at VRC competitions.
The kids were able to be finalists at last year's state competition. Now they are ready to win and compete at the national level. Unfortunately, our school does not have the funding to provide the needed supplies. We are a Title I school, with many students not able to obtain the VEX EDR robot kits and additional kits needed for competition.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will increase their chances of winning VRC state robotic competitions and advance to nationals. Last year, the students were finalists for state. This motivated the students to advance further. We just need your help in getting through some roadblocks! The tools will help the kids while they are building VEX V5 robots. The tool organizers and rolling bins help the students while transporting their tools and robot to their weekend competitions. There are several competitions across the city which they must compete in to qualify for state.
By having the supplies, my students will begin to see themselves as true engineers.
We will use these materials to aide us in the process of advancing a Title I school to nationals. Having these supplies will help the students be successful with competing because they will be on a equal footing with other schools. I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
