My Students

Our students in middle school robotics club come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of the students do not have financial means and opportunities to experience STEM activities.

Through our robotics club the students are able to build relationships, problem solve, use technology, be engineers, and use creative thinking.

The middle school robotics club allows opportunities for all students to learn more about science, technology, engineering, and math. It builds future engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and technology leaders, both females and males.

My Project

Our robotics team will be using a variety of supplies needed for our competition. We are looking to purchase a Full Game Lander Kit Set which has several different components. The Lander is the component we will use to take the game pieces (Silver and Gold) and place them for scoring. The Lander is also used to gain points by building our robot to attach to the Lander. This device will allow the students to see how working together can build teamwork outside of the classroom. The Crater Segments will be used to test to see if the robot is functional in getting over the craters and into the crater pits. This is another way of scoring points. The game pieces (Gold and Silver) need to be picked up by the robot and either placed in the Lander or moved to a specific spot. The students will learn by problem solving through each trial if the robot is unable to complete these maneuvers. They will be able to observe the changes that need to made to attempt to complete this task. The donations received will help our students to gain problem solving skills, teamwork and build creative thinking. We will use these materials to obtain these skills.
