My sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students need support in reading skills and motivation for the love of reading! These materials will help their desire to learn to read, as well as assist me in teaching them valuable skills for their future.
I love my students because they want to learn to read, they just need a little additional help!
It will be a challenge to teach 6th-8th grade, as this is a wide range of capabilities, but many of my students will be on 2nd grade reading level. This is my first year to be a Reading Interventionist and I look forward to the challenge!
My Project
Having a safe environment for children to feel at home is important and an invaluable part of the classroom! We recently had a school flooding in my part of the building and many items were thrown away due to mold. This has been a hard year in Texas and and at my school. We have lost time with our students due to COVID-19, snow storms, pipes bursting, and now flooding.
This is the first time this year we have lost material items, which thankfully can be replaced!
These pillows, rugs, chairs, and tables help to make our classroom feel like a home and help our students use the flexible seating we have in place. Thank you for considering donating to our classroom; we appreciate it!
