My Students

I am thankful to be teaching in an eight grade intensive learning classroom. There are currently 20 students and staff that come together every day to learn. We work on academics and we also focus on other areas that allow us to become better human beings.

My students typically come from difficult situations, and together we work to make a difference in their lives.

My students know that nothing should hold them back. It is my passion to turn what could be set-backs into strengths!

My Project

Seeing middle school students begin their school day in a relaxed environment means so much to me. Taking a short amount of time daily to practice mindfulness and yoga can go a long way for these students. I love to expose them to new things!

We can't control what happens to our students outside of school but we can help them find meaning while they are here.

Being intentional and open-minded are important lessons that students need to be exposed to.

A decrease in behaviors that aren't positive can be seen once students begin their day in a positive setting and leave that setting with positive intentions for their day. Thank you for helping my students become mindful in middle school!
