Help me give my students the opportunity to interact with microorganisms! Our curriculum heavily focuses on antibiotics and the microbiome, and the Antibiotic Sensitivity Kit will tie the real world of medicine into my lessons.
My students are creative, curious, and so smart! I have taught my current group for two years and love fostering their love for science and engineering. I am continuously amazed at how they view the world and their ability to uniquely problem solve.
However, limited finances affect not only the classroom supplies, but also the ability of students to be prepared for class.
We are located in the mid-west, and home financial situations are not always the best, and I would love to help students overcome these obstacles to offer the best learning experience in my classroom.
One of my goals in the classroom is to always tie our lessons into the real world. One of our units focuses on the microbiome and has a specific lesson to teach students about antibiotics.
With these supplies, students will be introduced to the magic of medicine, and even get to practice it themselves!
Showing them how antibiotics work will stick with them throughout life, and the petri dishes and agar will help them to become aware of the microscopic world around them.
My students are already in love with the world of microscopy, and I know this lesson would truly impact them and open them to a new world of career opportunities, as well!
