My Students
My students are a very diverse group. We have students from over 32 countries with needs as varied as their languages. The school has a free/reduced-price lunch rate of 52%. They are a special group that thrive on learning new things.
Middle schoolers are a curious group by nature, but truly we learn more from them even though we are the educators. There are a lot of needs to be able to keep up with their eagerness, and the funds are not available in our urban community. One of the greatest needs is Books. We would appreciate any help that you can provide to out students!
My Project
Reading is an important skill that needs to be promoted in the middle school. The library gives them options to read for enjoyment which improves students in so many ways. Students love coming to the library to bring books home with them. It is one thing that all students can do no matter their financial situation.
The pandemic has claimed many books that have been lost but not found. We need help to replace these books so more students will receive the gift of great works. Books are always needed to improve all of our lives!
