This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th-8th graders that I teach in band class meet 4 times a week with me during the school day and are learning about melody, rhythm, how to read music, and how to collaborate and work together as a group. They are a lovely group of students who are eager to challenge themselves and improve on their band instruments.

My Project

These materials will help my 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band students reach their full potential as student musicians. By filling out the percussion section equipment and adding to the whole bands' music library, we will be able to play a lot more (and more exciting) music.

The xylophones, keyboards, and auxiliary percussion equipment will create more opportunities for my students.

The sheet music will be exciting for all because they all love getting new sheet music and it inspires them to focus more in class and also to practice more at home.
