My Project

Our school continues to grow. Right now I have as many as twenty seven students in my Algebra classes and over 100 students total. We've maxed out every desk and chair in my classroom, and I didn't think this would be possible, but I am almost out of binders.

The majority of my students are refugees and migrants who come from all over the world.

They arrive in my classroom knowing little or no English. Most have no school supplies. Many are also working or taking care of younger siblings.

Last year, donors like you were kind enough to help me set up a class room coffee bar to encourage my kids to come to class on time and give them a cup of tea, cocoa or coffee when they just need a boost to get through class. I am also grateful that I got donations of binders, pencils, and other basic supplies. But supplies are running out, our donated pencil sharpener has bit the dust, and I need your help to make sure all my students have the supplies they need and feel welcome and supported in Algebra class (and it's Algebra class, right, so I KNOW it's challenging!).
