Mid-Year Refresher

Help me give my students rulers, glue sticks, dry erase pockets, scissors, and a pencil sharpener.

My Project

I teach at a Title I school which means that 90% of our school population is economically disadvantaged. Some of my students have experienced trauma in their personal lives and have rough living environments. Despite these things, scholars are eager to learn. I instill in them that an education can change so many things for them including economic status. I also share with them my journey as well. I let them know that they are not alone.

I am requesting write and wipe dry erase pockets, rulers, scissors, grid paper, a pencil sharpener, and glue sticks.

These supplies are currently needed in my classroom. The write and wipe pockets and erasers are needed to save paper and still get work from students by sliding the assignment into the sleeve to write on. Rulers and grid paper are needed because graphing plays a vital role in learning math. We need a classroom pencil sharpener since the old one is broken and also a sharpener for the colored pencils. We need glue sticks and scissors for the submissions to their notebooks as we prepare for the state mandated end of the year test.
