This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
After a long wait, we are finally back in the building and ready to grow! While we are fortunate to have our basic classroom needs met, there are things that would make our school year even better, so we made a wish list!
Our first graders started their school journey online and only some of them were able to come to school at the end of their kindergarten year.
For most of them, this school year is their first encounter with school inside of a classroom. They are doing an amazing job of learning the rules and all of the information that they've missed while learning from home.
My Project
We're at that point in the year when we need some updating of supplies. It's also the time of year when we have to start moving to indoor recess.
Our creative kiddos could use some supplies to help them play and learn!
Coloring and brick building will keep the winter blues from setting in when it's too cold to play outside, and dry erase markers and whiteboard pockets help students try their best in class and take the pressure off of students when they make mistakes. Easy to erase means no anxiety about wrong answers!
Our kiddos have been so careful with their materials but we really do use them frequently so they get used up quickly. They're so grateful when they get new things and they love that new crayon feeling. Thank you for helping us give our kiddos everything they need to be successful.
