I teach students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). I also have some students in small groups in the general education classroom that are below grade level academically. My IEP students vary from far below grade level to right at grade level. I teach in a school that is urban and students receive free breakfast and lunch.
For many of my students, it is here where they feel the most secure.
The streets of our city are not safe. Being given the gift of new learning materials and experiences brightens their day!
My Project
As we approach the mid-year point in our school year, some of our supplies have diminished. We are in need of writing utensils, tissues for those runny noses, Clorox wipes to clean off desks and tables (to prevent our kids from getting sick), whiteboard markers for our large and small boards, and headphones for the work they do on their Chromebooks.
A package with the basics can mean the most to my students, who are unable to come to school with the supplies they need.
These supplies are sure to put a smile on my students' faces and provide them with the opportunity to complete daily classwork. Having cleaning wipes and tissues will support us with maintaining a healthy environment as well. Please consider helping our students with these basic supplies to help us get through the rest of the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you!
