My Students
My students come to school each day excited to learn something new and to build new relationships. They are fun, creative, and intelligent students who are often faced with challenges they must adapt to. These challenges often extend past the classroom environment and into their home life. While these challenges do present themselves to our students we find that they often overcome these obstacles using problem solving and cooperation. Our goal is to encourage individual and group work that addresses all learner's needs, socially, physically, and mentally.
My Project
This project will allow my students to hear me while teaching outdoor physical education classes. Wearing a mask makes instruction difficult to deliver and some students have difficulty hearing or understanding instructions normally. With this speaker system I will be able to project and clearly announce instructions, changes in gameplay, provide feedback and offer encouragement while maintaining a safe distance from others. Physical education classes will be increasingly important this school year as the students have limited opportunities for movement throughout the day. To be able to accomplish a streamlined lesson with maximal movement and engagement from students it will be important for them to hear me.
