My 6th grade class is awesome and curious. Not only is there a wide mix of personalities in my class, but all the students also have very different learning needs and interests. Sometimes I feel like it is hard to reach each of my individual students. That is why I try to meet the interests of each personality whenever possible. When my students have time to learn and pursue their interests, learning skyrockets!
I want to provide "a-ha" moments for my students that draw them to learning.
Learning allows students to travel, relax and experience amazing things. Our school is in a very low income catchment area and are now a Title I school. Therefore, my students do not have opportunities that other students do as far as their home life. I want to provide different learning experiences to help these students that they can find a world of their own through their education.
My Project
Having a Microsoft Surface Go will help my students in many ways, starting off with State Testing. This Microsoft Go will allow my students to study during school for their end of year testing. It will allow my students to complete their tests, research, and practice their prior skills and knowledge. The Microsoft Go also has many apps that will help my students learn in different ways. Students will have a plethora of options when it comes to learning.
This tool gives my students tremendous amounts of learning options.
This Microsoft Go can be used in every single subject. In math you are able to use the stylus to show your work while in writing and reading you can directly edit a sentence or paper. The Microsoft Go will allow me to be able to differentiate for every student in my classroom, which in turn will allow all my students to grow in their education.
