This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am privileged to teach 50 outstanding students. My ESL and traditional students are very inquisitive, creative, and extremely clever. We are a Title I school where over two thirds of the population receives free or reduced-price lunch. Even though some of my students were affected by Hurricane Harvey and lost everything, they are still excited and enthused about learning.
Our school is very culturally diverse.
We are extremely competitive, and we strive for excellence daily.
Willing, ready, and always trying to stand out above the rest, we need to produce competitive scholars for the future. We are shining stars and would love to shine with or above the rest.
My Project
Our classroom needs new technology to enhance learning. The Microsoft Surface Go will provide the opportunity for students to get engaged in more STEAM and STEM activities. My students will be able to access a variety of activities to work on projects in a group or individually. Students would be able to work on sites such as Imagine Math, IXL, Moby Max, Prodigy and others. We would also use the Microsoft Surface Go to operate Sphero and Dash the Robot. This can afford students with thinking out of the box experiences. Students can take creative and innovative ideas to a whole new level with this device.
