Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am Team-Teaching with another teacher and I teach 2 classes of 6th-grade Science. I am teaching at an elementary school. The students come from low-income families. I teach approximately 60 students. In this project, students will explore the microscopic world using microscopes and slides. They will learn to prepare and use their own slides and use prepared slides with a wide range of materials. This is a great hands-on activity which will allow all students time to explore the microscopic world. All students will learn a lot and enjoy the project. The budget is tight and there is no money without this grant. The materials I need are: Prepared slides classroom set Prepared plant and animal slides Plain slides for students to make their own slides. Plastic depression slides, also for students to make their own slides A wooden slide storage box to keep all their plain slides
