Orchestra class is unlike any ordinary class. Aside from the obvious signs of the class not having the traditional chair and desk look, the students in my class are unlike any other. To be specific, the orchestra students always are enthusiastic, even on the gloomiest days and are always filled with positive energy.
However, our music department is a true exception.
Our combined choir and instrumental programs have produced phenomenally talented young adults and leaders who strive to inspire countless audience members. It is difficult to distinguish them as ordinary high school students at first glance, yet little do you know how much they are empowered through the arts.
With these microphones, my students will be able to use them with our ear training software and recordings. This will help them distinguish a better sense in pitch and to understand the importance of knowing how each note comes together. The microphones will help me record my students so that they can hear what they sound like, and so that they can listen to any identifiable mistakes while playing.
Having these added materials to our classroom will contribute to our music learning process.
It will help us scratch more than the surface of pitch and how to confidently identify notes. It will also provide easier access to my students who do not have access to a recording device.
