Our elementary school serves a diverse and dynamic student body. We are committed to preparing them to be career and college ready. We want to educate them and inspire them to be lovers of learning. We’re a Title I school, but don’t think we don’t have big dreams!
Our students come from backgrounds and family structures that sometimes require them to possess a great deal of tenacity!
By engaging them in fun and impactful learning experiences outside of the classroom, we maximize that opportunity! That desire can lead to a nation of productive citizens who’d be able to attribute their success to activities they’d completed as elementary students.
It would be a significant help if my students had access to mice while completing assignments. Few days have gone by without students who were completing math assignments that required them to perform tasks, such as drawing angles or moving objects on the screen from one place to another, and the touch screen fails them. Being in a virtual setting, there is not much you can do other than talking them through what sometimes feels like a 10-step process to carry out that single problem. Mice would certainly help do the trick. It will allow them to manipulate and navigate objects easier and with less frustration.
What student wouldn't like a little swag while they're learning?
The Flocabulary digital subscription will aid in engaging my students in learning mathematical and STEM concepts and standards in a way that interests them. Flocabulary couples raps with standards and vocabulary and presents concepts in a way that is fun and motivating.
