My students need a classroom set of mice to be able to navigate our Chromebooks easily. Headphones will allow them to use their Chromebooks without disrupting others' learning.
Our school is located in a rapidly growing suburb of Tulsa, OK. We have a diverse population of over 1,400 students from Pre-K to 5th grade. In my classroom, students come from many different cultures/countries and varied socioeconomic backgrounds.
Our classroom is filled with students who are bright, curious and eager to learn new things.
It is my life's work to teach my students to be independent thinkers and to foster a love of reading and learning. Each day brings it own new challenges and I hope to teach my students to face those challenges head on and with grit and determination.
My Project
We have recently become 1:1 with Chrome Books in Third Grade. Having this technology for our students is amazing! Students have a whole new world opened up to them through technology.
There are so many great things for our students to learn and do through technology.
Many sites read to students, show videos, and have other awesome features. In order to make our technology time enjoyable and productive for the class as a whole, we need headphones for each student. This will allow them to explore and learn without disturbing others. Students can also sometimes struggle with using the touch pad, so having computer mice will help them navigate their Chrome Books with less frustration.
