My students need social studies Spanish books to provide better understanding along with book bins to store materials for easier and quicker access. Privacy partitions will provide each student with private space when desired.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my classroom will be receiving instruction in two languages, in 2nd grade we teach 80% of the subjects in Spanish and 20% in English. Currently our district does not have a social studies curriculum at the elementary level and I would appreciate all the help I can get to provide social studies books in Spanish, along with other materials in order to enhance my students Spanish immersion experience. I will be teaching social studies to all the second grade students at our school.
This project will reach 90 students this year alone and so many more in future years.
Donorschoose has helped me fund some amazing projects in the past and I am hopeful this will not be the exception. Last year I pieced what I was able to find in English and then translated the materials into Spanish. I would love spending more time planning for fun activities with my team, rather than translating materials. Thank you for your continuous support.
My Project
My students will be able to better understand what I attempt to teach through my state standards through all these books. The books will be available for independent reading if they choose, when they aren't able to finish they can store the books in their beautiful book bins for a later time.
With your donation, you will help me enhance a curriculum map I pieced together last year and bring life to the focus questions and lessons I have already translated.
