Ms. Gladys Pasapera from New York NY is requesting reading nooks, desks & storage through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students the ease of having an organized art studio space with moveable storage and flexibility! Some of our students work in the hallway because of the small art room space we have.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Sometimes, you walk into my classroom and they are silently writing or drawing, other times it's so loud you can't hear the person next to you... it's organized chaos!! And we LOVE every minute of it. They're learning and thinking outside the box every day. I love it when they tell me "Miss, your class is hard. I thought it was just about painting or drawing something nice."
Our classrooms are filled with technology-obsessed curious minds so integrating hands-on tech and design into my art class will hopefully inspire students to create innovative projects and explore alternate ways of thinking about careers in the ARTS!!
We share a small classroom with Music and the room is adorned with precious guitars and keyboards on stands all around us. That means less storage space for artwork and messy materials such as plaster, clay, paints, and water buckets (no sink in our room).
We get really messy and experimental in our art studio and my students need a cart on wheels to easily store our messiest materials to transfer in and out of the room.
We plan to create masks, 3-Dimensional protoypes, and clay pieces for our animation projects next semester. The cart will help us store pieces and transfer them to other rooms to dry and stay safe.
