My Students

My classroom is an exceptional children's Pre-K located in a public school. Our county is very small rural community. My classroom is a self contained classroom, serving students from ages three to five years old. Every student has some type of identified need which requires intervention services, often in several areas.

Every student in my classroom has an IEP with personalized goals.

Students enter my classroom all year, as children transition from early intervention to school services on their third birthday, they do not have to wait for the next school year.

My Project

Pre-K is a fun and exciting time where learning develops through exploration. ometimes, that exploration can get messy-very messy! It could be shredded paper from the sensory table, scraps that fall to the floor and get left over from creating a masterpiece, the million dirty foot prints that appear (and leave trails through the entire room) when it rains, or the numerous "sand mountains" that are erected when the sand "escapes" from the shoes after having fun on the play ground (no matter how well you dumped them before coming inside).

Having a vaccum that lives in our classroom will allow us to clean up those messes quickly so that the environment stays safe and clean and that the learning never has to stop.
