Each year I say I have the best class ever, and this year is no exception! They are funny, inquisitive, and ready to help others. I strive to provide them with hands-on learning opportunities whenever possible and with the tools they need to be thoughtful and productive students.
My students continually blow me away with their perseverance, humor, and thoughtful personalities.
They love learning and helping each other. It's my honor to teach these wonderful group of kiddos and I can't wait to see what the future has in store!
My Project
This year our class is reading a picture book a day. The books have a variety of themes and genres and they cover a variety of topics. We need books to use as mentor texts in every subject as well as to start discussions about kindness, bullying, acceptance, and celebrating diversity. The students will read and discuss topics in the books that will foster a sense of wonder while improving their reading skills. The books in this project will open doors and worlds to my students and will hopefully inspire a love of reading and learning that will follow them the rest of their lives.
