I cannot put into words how amazing my students are. They come in everyday ready to learn! The littlest things make them curious and they run with that curiosity! Teaching language arts allows for me to scaffold students to the next level of learning. My students are ready for the next level each and every day!
I am so fortunate to have such AMAZING students this school year!

My Project
Each time I teach a standard, I want students to see what that skill actually looks like in a text. This gives a visual, auditory, and actual hands-on experience to children. Students being able to use mentor texts will allow them to grow as readers immensely. This will allow them to work with and manipulate real books in order to learn!
There is nothing better than real books and allowing students to travel to new heights through enriching texts.
Mentor texts will mentor students thinking and make it visible for them! It is so important that students see what is being asked of them and see what is expected for them to comprehend.
