We are an inner-city school with a high poverty rate and ethnically diverse population. My students are creative and spend their days not only attending core classes like Math, Science, and English, but a variety of art classes like Drama, Martial Arts, Guitar, and Photography.
Our school prepares students for college in an academically challenging, arts-integrated environment.
Not only are my students involved in extra-curricular activities, they are dedicated to their grades. Many stay at school until five or six pm, either in tutoring or attending a club meeting. My students are well rounded and participate in activities like volleyball, ballroom dance, basketball, cheerleading and a variety of clubs from Student Council to National Honor Society and everything in between.
My Project
The memory cards we use in our cameras are in and out of cameras an average of 10 times a week. Over the course of a year that is a lot of opportunities for a memory card's delicate pieces to get damaged.
We need new memory cards to replace our old ones that are going on the fritz.
We currently are having to use tape and creative ways to help the stay together so the computers can read the data. This project will replace all of our current memory cards and give us a few extra in case we have one that breaks.
