Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am currently teaching 2nd grade in a class with 25 loving and excited kids. They are all so eager to learn and excited about school. We are in a very small classroom but are making it work.
Many if not most of my kids come from homes with very limited resources so I am wanting to do my best to provide them with everything they need and want to make their time at school, the best part of their day.
They are kind and loving and deserve the best!
My Project
Many of my kids are English learners and visual learners so having print outs posted in color throughout the room, will help them refer back to concepts taught in class.
I also have quite a few students who prefer to work on the floor, closer to the board as it helps them not only to see better but concentrate without as many distractions as being at their table groups.
We are in a small classroom but I am still trying to work out a way to provide flexible seating which will provide my students with more options as to where to work and what is most comfortable for their learning style
