Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a school that is located in South Central. Almost 100% of students qualify for free lunch.

Despite their backgrounds and the hardships my students have encountered at a young age, they are eager to learn.

They come to school ready and willing to learn. They know that being successful in school will lead to being successful in their future! I am hoping to nurture that love of learning by providing them with meaningful, creative and authentic learning.

My Project

My students need these Writing Prompt Journals to increase their writing skills! Often times students lack stamina and perseverance when it comes to writing. They find writing to be a daunting task that they don't want to participate in. I am hoping with daily practice in these journals students will increase their stamina while writing. With more stamina writing will become easier. And hopefully they will begin to love writing and see it as a fun task.
