My students need these supplies in order to do everyday classroom task. We currently have no pencil sharpener and are down to our last few pencils. We have run out of dry erase markers as well.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"Look what I did!" This is the comment I get when students start to realize their true potential. In a fast-paced technologically advanced environment, I want my students to be confident and ready to fulfill their potential.
I am incorporating STEM into my classroom and a standard part of the classroom environment.
In order to do this effectively, students will need to be technologically advanced and learn things like coding to make sure they are ready for the world that awaits them.
Basic supplies however, have become an issue for many of our class as we cannot continue on without being able to write our learning down. They need to be able to plan and design in order to do STEM. Such learning requires the use of pencil sharpeners, pencils, erasers, glue sticks, dry erase markers, etc.
My Project
We are looking for basic classroom supplies such as an electric pencil sharpener, pencils, erasers, glues sticks, and dry erase markers. While these supplies seem very basic and low tech, they are necessary in order for us to do everyday tasks. Soon we will not be able to write much less sharpen a pencil to write with.
Since we have little to no funding through, I have been looking for inventive ways to get supplies.
I know of no other way than petition as up till now I have been purchasing them myself. I can no longer keep funding my class.
