My Students

I teach a group of amazing sixth graders with various needs and abilities. We spend the majority of our day in the classroom learning, growing, and becoming a family.

I have other teachers come in and out of my room on a daily basis.

However, as of now, I do not have a great place for other teachers to pull small groups of students to work. When I want to pull a small group of students to re-teach a certain topic, I do not have an adequate place to teach them. Working with a small group out in the hallway is not feasible when I am the only teacher in the room, and it is not the best learning environment for my students.

My vision is to give my students a place to learn, teach each other, grow, become inspired, and help their love for learning blossom. If I am able to get this project fully funded, I will have that opportunity!

My Project

In my classroom, I pull students from time to time to teach or re-teach students in small groups. Right now I do not have an adequate space to do this. Many students work better and learn better in small group settings.

Small group learning is so important in my classroom.

I have other teachers come in throughout the day to pull small groups to give them extra support. Pulling students out into the hallway is not in the students' best interest due to various distractions. They need a spot to pull students in my room, so students can have the best learning environment possible.
