This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are incredible Medical Detectives! They explore STEM careers as they learn how to diagnose and design treatment plans for diseases, apply scientific methods to solve medical and forensic mysteries. Students are excited to have hands-on learning experiences in our Project Lead the Way Medical Detectives course.

Coming from a Title I school where 100% of our students are participants of the free lunch program, being a part of a national competition program shows our students that what they can achieve in life is only limited by their willingness to work hard.

Every student deserves the opportunity to be successful, have meaningful real-life experiences, without financial resources being a deterrent.

Having experiences as a part of our Medical Detectives STEM course can prepare my students to be a part of 21st Century careers, lead them into academic programs and provide them with successful, meaningful and enjoyable futures.

My Project

My Medical Detectives students need dissection materials to better understand how the brain works. Students will be able use their STEM skills and lab procedures to explore, identify parts of the brain and understand of how the brain works with our body systems.

Your donation will allow over (50) 7th grade students to have hands-on experience of dissection, application of science knowledge, while exploring STEM careers.

As 21st century learners, my students are preparing for and gaining interest in how to use STEM to identify and solve many of our health-care problems.
