My Students

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. ~ Albert Einstein I want to inspire my students through different forms of media. Books, Movies & anything I can get my hands on. I want to teach everyone to climb.

My students are bright and bored.

They long for creativity and out of the box teaching because we have told them to smash the boxes. These kids long for meaningful conversations, intellectual stimulation. These young adults crave resources and unfortunately we do not have much to offer them. Our school tries to give them resources but from an Economic stand point we have to look at needs verses wants.

My Project

My class has a library that students can check out books to read. I ask what authors they like and try to have books they would want to read. If I can spark an interest for reading then we have both won. I try to stock relevant books for my young adults so we can discuss and learn on a more personal student/teacher level. I love teaching across the board curriculum. Using history and science to teach about business, entrepreneurship, economics, finances and technology. There is so much that my students can learn from these resources not only for this year but for the years to come.

By choosing to help fund our project we will be improving the class with resources that will inspire.

We can use these materials to relate from our history and our future. This project will help change my students life by equipping them to be more globally aware of their world.
