Media Clerk Needs a IPad for Professional Development!
Help me give my students the right understanding that with a higher education anything is possible, and for me this Ipad will help me achieve my goals to set by example.
My students in Miami come from a low income based community. They have a wonderful out look on life and a zeal for learning. My students have so many different learning styles, and I want to meet each child's needs in order to set them up for success in their lives. My high school students are great with technology when its social media or picture taking, they respond to different and innovative pedagogy and teaching styles in a most encouraging way. All students deserve the best no matter were there from!
My Project
My Project is about setting by example, I plan on teaching my students Library Science, projects, research, and technology. These are important skills to have in order to go to college. My students inspire me daily with their love for learning and attitude for life. I have always been a believer that as an educator you must never stop learning. We need to grow with technology and the times, I am believing that this is a worthy investment in my career and for my students. Some things (especially students) are worth the sacrifice. I will need a good working IPad to be able to take these classes. I don't have the immediate funds to purchase one, but I am hopeful that I can raise the funds to pursue my dreams, reach my goal, and bring back to my library and school all the best practices acquired through this degree program. Having the tablet will prepare me for the classes and education I need to produce wonderful work that I can show my students and hopefully inspire them to further there education.
