This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Middle school is hard. Sometimes students just need a break. I would like to create a small Makerspace in the Media Center where students can come and relax. I would like to offer them options other than reading books. I envision a space where they can create, collaborate on puzzles, play games, and just take a break.
These supplies for our Makerspace will give my students the supplies for a space they desperately need.
Much of their day is spent using their minds. I would like to give them a place where they can create with their hands as well.
