Our school is located in Texas. Most of our students live in apartment homes surrounding the school, and most of the students are economically disadvantaged. However, they come from many countries, bringing many cultures and speaking many languages. English language learners in our school love to read books in English and their home language. Many of our students are responsible for the care of younger siblings, yet they manage to balance home responsibilities and homework.
Our students strive to do their best and greatly appreciate the opportunities they have at school.
These students enjoy learning in all areas of academics. Many students join after school academic clubs to enrich their learning experiences further. They are delightfully pleasant to teach and eager to learn and please.
My Project
Our students will gain confidence in themselves as they learn new skills constructing machines with alternative energy sources with Lego We Do 2.0 in our new maker space. When students and teachers work together to learn new skills, students are in a win-win situation. The excitement of learning higher level thinking skills inspires kids to keep learning with enthusiasm.
Our students will develop skills that will prepare them for teamwork and creative problem solving they need now and in the future.
